Job summary

A precision engineering firm based in Rotherham is seeking a skilled CNC Miller. The role includes setting, operating, and programming CNC Milling machines as well as reading engineering drawings. Ideal candidates will have experience with Solidcam and Fanuc, along with a preference for aerospace or medical experience. This is a full-time position with regular overtime available.

Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc for programming CNC Milling machines.
• Must be skilled in reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Capability to inspect own work using measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and program CNC Milling machines.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and minor repairs.
• Report any faults found to the Production Manager.

Salary: £16.80 per hour

Metalis are currently working with a precision engineering business in Rotherham who are looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join their team.

Job Duties

• Set, operate and program CNC Milling machines
• Offline program using Solidcam
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Work to tight tolerances
• Use inspection and measuring equipment to inspect own work
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment and perform minor repairs as needed
• Report any faults found to the Production Manager

Job Requirements

• Able to set, operate and program CNC Milling machines using Fanuc
• Experience with Haas, Doosan and Matsuura (preferred)
• Solidcam experience
• Aerospace/Medical experience (preferred)

Salary & Shift

£16.80 per hour

Monday to Thursday, 6am - 3pm & Friday, 6am - 12pm

Regular overtime available - 1.33x on weekdays & 1.5x on Saturdays
