Job summary

Metalis Recruitment Group are working with an industry leading manufacturer in Chesterfield to recruit a CNC Miller. The role involves setting, operating and programming CNC vertical machining centres, reading engineering drawings and using jigs and fixtures.

You should be apprentice trained or hold NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC and have 4-axis machining experience with Hartford or Fanuc control when possible. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, with pension, uniform and 27 days holiday on offer.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained or relevant Engineering Qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC).
• Previous CNC Milling experience.
• Able to set, operate and program a vertical machining centre.
• Hartford machine and Fanuc control experience - Desired.

Salary: £37,050 per annum

Job Duties:

• Set, operate and program CNC vertical machining centres
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Use of jigs, fixtures and other work holding equipment
• Carry out first off inspections
• Produce precision products to tight tolerances
• Use measuring equipment to check finished components
