Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate the department’s CNC machines.
2. Manage CNC programs through a structured process.
3. Create and edit CNC programs to optimize performance.
4. Manage cutting tools and inspection gauges in a controlled manner.
5. Keep machine set-up sheets up to date and controlled.
6. Create new set-up sheets for new or revised settings.
7. Manage requirements for new tools, gauges, and fixturing as needed.
8. Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity.
9. Liaise with the engineering department regarding drawing issues and changes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience working with Fanuc CNC machines in an engineering environment.
• CNC milling time-served experience or relevant qualifications.
• Ability to set up machines for NPD parts.
• Understanding of geometric tolerances and surface finishes.
• Ability to pre-set cutting tools.
• Familiarity with a wide range of materials, including non-ferrous metals, aluminium, stainless steels, and castings.
