Job summary

Owen Daniels in Lincoln is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a permanent or contract role. The position offers 37 hours per week within a 3-shift rotating pattern, based in Lincoln.

You will set and operate CNC Milling, Turning or Grinding machines and read engineering drawings to produce high-precision metal components. Utilise calibrated measuring equipment and contribute to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC Milling, Turning or Grinding machines.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using a variety of calibrated measuring equipment.
• At least 4 years' relevant industry experience is desirable.
• Self-motivated with good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Milling, Turning or Grinding machines.
• Produce high-precision metal components to tight tolerances.
• Set machines with the required workholding and tooling.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use calibrated measuring equipment to ensure parts meet standards.
• Complete machining operations efficiently and accurately.
• Work as part of a multi-skilled team across CNC areas.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety and housekeeping.
• Support production targets and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Be flexible to work additional hours and overtime when required.
