Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator for their Poole on-site facility. You will set and operate Mazak CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components to engineering drawings.

The role requires strong milling and setting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting production targets. Mazatrol experience is preferred, but other CNC controls are welcome. An apprenticeship in machining is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines, Mazatrol preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacture to tight tolerances.
• Experience in quality-controlled manufacturing environments.
• Detail-oriented and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Mazak CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components per drawings and specs.
• Read drawings, select tooling/work-holding, and set machines per setup sheets.
• Prove out CNC programs and perform first-off inspections to ensure tolerances.
• Maintain production targets, record setup/running times and quality data.
