Job summary

Bosch Rexroth in Glenrothes, Scotland, seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to operate lathes, machining centres and multi-axis machines, producing precision tooling and measuring equipment. You will inspect your work, perform first-off and in-process checks, and uphold quality, safety and environmental standards on a clean, well‑organised shop floor.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, programming CNCs, and working to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls; CMM experience is a plus.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and read CNC programmes.
• Must work to close tolerances.
• Flexible to hours and duties.
• Able to work autonomously and in a team.
• Knowledge of machines, cutting speeds/feeds, tolerances and tooling.
• Experience in a multifunctional engineering company.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery including lathes, machining centres and multi-axis machines.
• Produce precision measuring equipment and tooling.
• Inspect own work: first-off and in-process inspections.
• Maintain quality and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Keep the workspace clean, tidy and safe.
• Observe Health and Safety and Environmental policies.
