Job summary

Aspion is recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist for a Glasgow-based role in the aerospace sector. You will set up and operate high-precision machines, interpret drawings and maintain tight tolerances on critical components.

You'll work with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain and Mazatrol controls, enjoy shift patterns, and contribute to continuous improvement in a well-established engineering business.

Qualifications

• Time-served in machining discipline.
• Experience in aerospace or high-precision environments preferred.
• Able to work to tight tolerances and read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, process sheets, blueprints and work instructions.
• Determine machining requirements and setup/operate machines.
• Identify and set up tooling for machining operations.
• Operate multiple machine tools and monitor processes.
• Carry out quality inspections and dimensional verification.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
• Identify opportunities for Lean improvements and productivity.
