Job summary

Bosch Rexroth in Glenrothes, Scotland, seeks a strategic leader to oversee machining operations, drive continuous improvement, and manage a sizeable team within ISO9001 standards. The role integrates design, production engineering, and IPN collaboration to scale from prototype to stable series production.

You will lead capital planning, budget ownership, and resource allocation while partnering with HR and unions to maintain a positive, safe, and high-performing working environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent leadership experience in a precision machining environment.
• Proven track record in managing substantial operational budgets and CapEx.
• Knowledge of relevant industrial regulations, facility compliance, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute departmental strategic plans to improve plant competitiveness.
• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality, and safety standards.
• Own the departmental budget and drive localised cost savings and investment planning.
• Collaborate with Design Office and Production Engineering to ensure smooth transitions from prototype to stable series.
• Mentor technical teams and apprentices, fostering collaboration and accountability with HR and unions.
• Build and lead a high performing team delivering improvements in quality, efficiency, and productivity.
