Job summary

Booth Welsh Ltd is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join its precision engineering team in Scotland. Roles include programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and machining centres across materials and components for aerospace, defence, oil & gas, energy and heavy engineering sectors.

Candidates should have CNC turning and/or milling experience, be able to read engineering drawings, and work with Fanuc/Heidenhain/Siemens/Mazatrol controls.

Qualifications

• Experience within a CNC machining environment or manual machining.
• CNC Turning and/or Milling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience setting and operating CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and/or machining centres.
• Working with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens or Mazatrol controls.
• Producing high-precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conducting first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Tool setting, offsets and programme adjustments.
• Maintaining quality standards and production targets.
• Working closely with manufacturing and production engineering teams.
