Job summary

Thompson Aero Seating is seeking a skilled Machinist for the Machine Shop in Craigavon, UK. You will operate multiple CNC machines, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure components meet strict quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You should have 2+ years of experience on 3- and 5-axis CNC machines, be proficient with FANUC and Heidenhain controls, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and teamwork skills as part of a safety-conscious manufacturing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with CNC machines (3 & 5 axis).
• Knowledge of FANUC and Heidenhain CNC controls.
• Competent in reading engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Operate several CNC machines to produce high-quality components while meeting production deadlines.
• Ensure world-class quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Identify and solve machining issues to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and quality teams to raise process standards.
• Inspect finished parts and verify conformity to specifications.
