Job summary

Teledyne CML Composites, based in Bromborough, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to manufacture aerospace components. You will read engineering drawings, set up five-axis and three-axis machines, and ensure tight tolerances with precise measurement tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and aerospace components.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 / AS9100 quality standards.
  • Experience in aerospace/defence/automotive sectors.
  • Understanding of drawings and geometric tolerances.
  • Fanuc controller knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload machining fixtures.
  • Set up and operate five-axis and three-axis CNC machines.
  • Read engineering drawings and CAD models.
  • Monitor processes for precision and tight tolerances.
  • Maintain and clean machines and tools.
  • Ensure adherence to specifications and quality.

About Us

Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast-growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Job Purpose

This role will include machining aircraft components by reading and working from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Machining fixtures
  • Setting our range of Five Axis and Three Axis Machines
  • Using measuring equipment such as micrometres, Vernier’s, plug gauges, screw gauges, ring gauges, Renishaw probe.
  • Conducting regular Maintenance and Cleaning of Machines and Tools.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines (milling, turning, multi-axis) to produce aerospace components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications
  • Monitor machining processes to ensure precision and adherence to tight tolerances.
Experience
  • Prior experience using multi-axis CNC Machines
  • Experience of working to ISO9001 or AS/EN9100 quality approvals
  • Experience of working in the aerospace/defence/automotive sector
  • Good understanding of CNC Programming
  • A good understanding of drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Good understanding of component drawings
  • Fanuc Controller experience would be beneficial.
