Teledyne CML Composites is seeking an Aerospace Inspector to conduct thorough inspection of aerospace components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.

The role involves a 4on-4off days shift pattern, working at a Bromborough facility on the Wirral, with responsibilities spanning detailed QA checks, data recording and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions and prevent defects.

Qualifications

• Experience in inspection/QA within aerospace is essential.
• Familiar with ISO and customer quality management systems is desirable.
• Computer literate and able to maintain records and documents.

Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Job Purpose

You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspection of Aerospace components to ensure that they comply with industry standards, customer requirements and regulatory guidelines. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety and performance of aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspection and quality control checks on aerospace parts and materials.
• Assist with concession & First Article Inspection measurements data (AS9102)
• Accurately record inspection findings and maintain comprehensive documentation of inspection results, defects and non conformities.
• Work with functions across the business to identify and resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions and prevent measures to improve product quality and prevent defects.
• Investigate and identify root cause of quality issues, defects and non conformances. Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement corrective and preventative action.
• Communicate inspection results, findings and quality related issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Authority to sign/stamp all release certifications to customer
• Material booking in/release
• Ability to use all inspection, general measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers etc. CMM if approved- Desirable
• Good computer skills to maintain records and documents
• Comply fully with internal and external Quality Audits
• Work within all company guidelines and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• Indentured apprenticeship - Desirable
• Formal Academic qualification in engineering – Desirable
• Aerospace experience - Desirable
• Inspection/QA Experience - Essential
• Working knowledge of ISO and Customer Quality Management Systems - Desirable
• Computer Literate – Essential
• Experience of composite manufacture – Desirable
