CNC Machinist - £21.79 per hour - Rochdale

Due to an ever-increasing orderbook, we are seeking CNC Machinists to join a well-established engineering team. Our client are a leading supplier of Machinery into the Global Rubber processing industry and have been on the current site for over 100 years.

The role provides the opportunity for a permanent position within our award-winning engineering facility where we annually spend more than £2m every year in capital investment. Industry leading apprenticeship scheme (5-years) recruiting 6 per year.

The Role:

• Setting and operating of Fanuc/Heidenhain CNC Milling Machines to produce low volume precision parts
• Setting up tooling and fixturing, prove out and execute part programs
• Follow planned operations to completion at prescribed production rates to meet customer delivery schedule in accordance with Company H&S and Quality Policies
• Collaborate with colleagues and provide training if required.

The Person:

• Experienced in writing and editing programs and able to read and interpret engineering drawings to a high standard
• Competent in setting and operating CNC machines
• Able to perform initial inspections of your own/a team members' work using a variety of measuring equipment
• Sound understanding of materials, modern cutting methods and engineering processes
• Produce high quality and accurate output with minimal error rate
• Opportunities for upskilling and Further Education

Hours:

• 06:00 - 14:15 Early shift, 14:00 - 22:15 Late shift, 22:00 - 06:15 Night Shift (4 hours Friday)
• 37 Hours Per Week

Salary

• OTE £50,000
• Uncapped Overtime
• £21.79 per Hour (average shift rate included) - pay award pending
