Bentley dealership in Liss is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join its precision engineering team, focusing on historic vehicle components and high-end craftsmanship.

You will operate Haas ST-30Y turning centres and Bridgeport VMC 800 Mill with Heidenhain controls, program and set machines, and work with SolidWorks and CAMWorks. This full-time role offers a supportive environment with overtime potential within a renowned automotive brand.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator in precision machining.
• Minimum of 3 years in automotive or high-precision engineering.
• Experience with Haas and Heidenhain controls.
• Experience with casting/forging is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines including Haas ST-30Y turning centres and Bridgeport VMC 800 Mill with Heidenhain controls.
• Set, programme, and calibrate CNC machinery to produce precision components.
• Create and validate CNC programs using SolidWorks and CAMWorks.
• Support engineering by developing fixtures and machining solutions.
• Conduct first-off inspections and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain raw materials, tooling and fixtures to ensure efficient production.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimise manufacturing processes.
• Assist with cost estimation and process improvement initiatives.

Duties

• Operate CNC machines, including Haas CNC ST-30Y turning centres and Bridgeport VMC 800 Mill with Heidenhain controls

• Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role within the automotive or high-precision engineering sector
