Job summary

Hales Group are recruiting an experienced CNC Machining Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our client in Letchworth. This permanent role offers a 37.5 hour day shift in a busy, modern workshop.

You will program machines (Doosan) from scratch and from data, set and operate CNC mills, and inspect first-off parts to ensure quality; overtime is available, with a bonus and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CNC milling
• Experience setting, operating and programming CNC machines
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (Delcam or SpaceClaim desirable)

Responsibilities

• Program machines (Doosan) from scratch and from existing data

• Produce one-off press tools with tight tolerances
• Run a variety of precision components
• Conduct first-off inspections to confirm quality
• Ensure work meets required quality standards and specifications

CNC Machining Programmer/Setter/Operator

Hales Group are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machining Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our client based in Letchworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business, working within a busy and modern workshop environment.

This permanent position offers full time hours on a 37.5 hour basis.

Location: Letchworth

Hours: Full time Day Shift (37.5 hour working week)

Basis: Permanent

Salary: £35-42.9K per annum (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

• Program machines (Doosan), both from scratch and from existing data
• Set and operate CNC machines
• Produce one-off press tools, working to tight tolerances
• Run a variety of precision components
• Confirm quality standards by conducting first-off inspections
• Ensure all work meets required quality standards and specifications
• Follow company procedures, including quality and Health & Safety guidelines
• Support across the workshop in line with continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience in CNC milling (essential)
• Experience working in a similar capacity within a workshop environment
• Strong ability to set, operate, and program CNC machinery
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, with knowledge of Delcam or SpaceClaim desirable
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and support a team environment
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
