Job summary

THE RECRUITMENT FIX LIMITED in Morecambe is seeking a CNC Machinist to join a well-established engineering firm. You will program, set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture precision components, using 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines.

The role offers a 4-day working week with days and backshift patterns. Attractive hourly pay (£18–£24.40) and good benefits are on offer for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-spec industries such as aerospace, oil & gas, or defence.
• Experience using Fanuc, Mazak or Heidenhain.
• Time served engineer with relevant engineering qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision components.
• Using 3, 4, and 5-axis machining.
• Programming using Fanuc, Mazak and Heidenhain.
• Interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Conducting basic inspection and quality checks.
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
