Job summary

The Recruitment Fix Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Machinist in Morecambe. You will program, set up and operate CNC machinery, including 3, 4 and 5-axis machining, using Fanuc, Mazak and Heidenhain controls. A strong quality focus and ability to read engineering drawings are essential.

We offer a 4-day week, 3 shift patterns (days/backshift) and competitive pay of £18–£24.40 per hour with good benefits in a well established engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-spec industries such as aerospace, oil & gas, or defence.
• Experience using Fanuc, Mazak or Heidenhain CNC controls.
• Time served engineer with relevant engineering qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

The Job

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision components


• Using 3, 4, and 5-axis machining


• Programming using Fanuc, Mazak and Heidenhain
