Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator / Setter in Bridgwater to support a busy manufacturing team. The role covers operating CNC lathes, changing programs and tools, and performing first-off checks across two machines. You will read drawings, ensure quality, and progress to more complex work with training.

The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC turning experience, can operate independently, and understands offsets and tooling; Fanuc experience is preferred, Mazak/Heidenhain also considered.

Double Days: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm

We’re looking for a CNC Lathe Operator / Setter to join a busy manufacturing team in Bridgwater.

About the Role

• Operate CNC lathes across multiple machines
• Change programs, tools and adjust offsets
• Carry out basic setting and first-off checks
• Work across two machines simultaneously
• Read technical drawings and check dimensions
• Maintain quality and production standards
• Progress onto more complex work with training

What We’re Looking For

• Hands‑on CNC turning experience – essential
• Able to operate CNC machinery independently
• Some setting experience / understanding of offsets and tooling
• Fanuc experience preferred, but other controls such as Mazak or Heidenhain considered
• Comfortable working across multiple machines
• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn
• Strong team player with a desire to progress
