Job summary

Hariley Solutions West Midlands in Stoke is seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join our manufacturing team, working primarily on CNC lathes.

You will set and operate CNC lathes, read and interpret engineering drawings, produce components to required specs, and carry out basic inspection to ensure quality.

A solid hands‑on background in manufacturing, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines are essential.

CNC Setter / Operator - CNC Lathe

Pay Rate: £16.00 - £18 per hour (£18 for Programming experience)

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:00pm

Location: Stoke

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join our manufacturing team, working primarily on CNC Lathes.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a solid background in manufacturing who takes pride in producing quality work and can work confidently in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

• Setting and operating CNC lathes
• Reading and accurately interpreting engineering drawings
• Producing components to the required quality and specification
• Carrying out basic inspection and quality checks
• Identifying and resolving practical production issues
• Working efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a CNC Setter / Operator, ideally with CNC turning/lathe experience
• Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Solid background in manufacturing
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Reliable, hardworking and able to use initiative
• Comfortable working as part of a team
