An established industry player is seeking a skilled CNC Grinding Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their dynamic team. Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
Due to increased investment, our client now has a requirement for a CNC Grinding Programmer/Setter/Operator

The Role
Job Description
• Setting & operating Studer cylindrical/universal grinding machines.
• Producing a wide & varied range of high tolerance parts which are used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
• Understand Fanuc CNC controls & be able to program/edit/improve existing & new parts.
• Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health & safety guidelines & rules.
• Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.
The Candidate
The CNC Grinding experience and qualifications required:
Previous grinding experience, preferably having used Voumards or Studer machines.
Ability to work to engineering drawings, use of gauges and tool maintenance.
Strong communication skills working with Supervisor, Team Leaders and peers on the shop floor.
Team player who can work to targets and deadlines.
Highly motivated, proactive and be actively involved with continuous improvement activities.
Build relationships with the team and supply areas.
Ability to work under pressure but still work to very high standards.
Desirable Criteria
• Program from drawing Fanuc CNC controls.
• Have CNC grinding knowledge.
• Would have served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship.

The Reward:
Working Rotating Shifts, 5.30am-1.30pm and 2pm-10.30pm with 8pm finish on Friday.
Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours in the week then Time 1/2 thereafter. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
