Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced CNC engineering educator to join a further education provider. You will deliver practical and theory sessions, drawing on industry experience to make machining concepts come alive for learners aiming for engineering careers.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in engineering or manufacturing or equivalent.
• Strong practical and technical knowledge of CNC machining operations.
• Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners.
• Desirable: teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging CNC engineering sessions in classroom and workshop.
• Teach and assess learners in both classroom and workshop environments.
• Develop teaching and learning resources reflecting current industry practice.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on learner work.
• Monitor learner progress and support attainment of qualifications.
• Contribute to high teaching standards within the curriculum team.
