Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd, a further education provider in Greater London, is seeking an Engineering Lecturer to deliver theory and hands‑on workshop sessions to learners pursuing engineering qualifications. You will plan lessons, assess progress, maintain a safe workshop and classroom, and help students develop technical and employability skills while contributing to curriculum development.

Qualifications

A relevant vocational qualification in engineering or related discipline.
Demonstrable practical experience gained in the engineering industry.
The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities.

Responsibilities

Delivering engineering theory and practical sessions to learners across a range of levels.
Planning and preparing lessons, learning materials and workshop activities.
Assessing and monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
Maintaining a safe, well‑organised workshop and classroom environment.
Supporting learners to develop the technical and employability skills they need for their next steps.
Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
