Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (CNC) in Birmingham to support production on the shop floor, edit CNC programmes and CAM files, and optimise machining processes. You will mentor setter/operator machinists and drive continuous improvement on days (39 h/week).

Ideal candidates will have extensive CNC multi-axis experience, strong tooling and process knowledge, and an apprenticeship-based mechanical engineering qualification.

Qualifications

• Extensive CNC multi-axis machining experience with precision components.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, machining processes and machine control.
• Genuine apprenticeship with a recognised mechanical engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Edit CNC programmes and CAM files (engineering changes) to meet drawings and changes.
• Support production on the shop floor as the technical go-to on machining and process improvement.
• Coach and mentor setter/operator machinists to promote best practice and safe, efficient production.
