Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Senior Production Engineer for Northampton-based manufacturing operations. You will lead CAM programming, tooling design and process optimization on multi-axis CNC systems to drive efficiency and quality on the shop floor.

Reporting to the production leadership, you will own production processes from concept through to production, support NPI and continuous improvement, and apply GD&T and Industry 4.0 concepts to maintain high standards of precision and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in CAM programming using Siemens NX or similar.
• Experience in automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience in fixture design and production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and dimensional control.
• Qualifications: HNC/HND or degree-level; apprentice trained.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and maintain multi-axis CNC programs using CAM software.
• Design and implement production tooling, fixtures and manufacturing solutions.
• Own manufacturing processes from concept to production.
• Support new product introduction and process development on the shop floor.

Senior Production Engineer - Key responsibilities:

• Develop, optimise and maintain multi-axis CNC programmes using CAM software.

• Take ownership of manufacturing processes from initial concept through to production.
• Support new product introduction, process development and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
• Provide technical support to production teams while ensuring compliance with quality, Health & Safety.

Senior Production Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience (5 years+) in CAM programming, using Siemens NX or similar.
• Manufacturing engineering experience within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing, production engineering and fixture design.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T.
• Relevant HNC, HND, degree-level qualification or apprentice trained.
• Practical problem-solving skills, with experience of Teamcenter, Vericut or SAP.
