Job summary

Acorn by Synergie in Cullompton is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Operative / CNC Press Brake Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing team. You will read technical drawings, set CNC press brakes, and fabricate stainless steel, galvanised, aluminium and steel parts to tight tolerances.

The role offers an early start window, Monday–Friday 8am-5pm, with overtime and a permanent position for the right candidate. Relevant experience and precision are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator is essential.
• Experience with CNC-controlled brakes.
• Experience folding stainless steel, galvanised, aluminium and steel is preferred.
• Great attention to detail.
• Passion for sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture sheet metal parts and components.
• Use a variety of tools and machinery, including CNC, press brakes, rollers, guillotines and punching machines.
• Measure and cut sheet metal accurately according to specifications.
• Check the quality of finished products, ensuring they meet high standards.
• Work efficiently and independently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Set and operate CNC press brakes, working to tight tolerances.

What We Offer

• £30,000-£35,000 salary based on a 40-hour week.
• Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
• Overtime available at flat rate during the week.
• Saturday overtime paid at time and a half.
