Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Operative in Willand. This permanent role offers a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime opportunities to boost earnings.

You will read technical drawings, set and run CNC press brakes, and work with stainless steel, galvanised, aluminium and steel. The salary ranges from £30,000 to £35,000 per year, with overtime paid during the week and at time and a half on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator is essential.
• Experience with CNC-controlled brakes.
• Experience folding stainless steel, galvanised, aluminium and steel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture sheet metal parts and components.
• Use a variety of tools and machinery, including CNC, press brakes, rollers, guillotines and punching machines.
• Measure and cut sheet metal accurately according to specifications.
• Check the quality of finished products, ensuring they meet high standards.
• Work efficiently and independently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Set and operate CNC press brakes, working to tight tolerances.
