Job summary

ASC Connections in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced CNC Applications Engineer to join an established engineering business. The role blends hands-on CNC programming with applications engineering, process development, machine testing and customer support across international sites.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming and setting experience.
• Experience working with multi-axis CNC machinery.
• Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
• Good practical engineering and problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable dealing directly with customers and explaining technical information.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and optimise CNC programs.
• Program and set multi-axis CNC machinery.
• Produce sample components from engineering drawings.
• Develop processes to improve cycle times and machine performance.
• Carry out testing of machinery prior to customer delivery.
• Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Train customers in the operation of equipment.
• Provide ongoing technical and applications support.
• Assist with tooling, time studies and technical requirements.
• Contribute to engineering and process improvements.
