Job summary

Interlinx Consulting Ltd is recruiting an Installation Design Engineer to join a major London Underground infrastructure project on a 12-15 month contract. The role is London-based with a hybrid pattern (2 days in office, 3 days remote).

You will bring an electrical site installation background and a proven track record in CMS containment design for London Underground, collaborating with site teams and multiple disciplines to deliver buildable, standards-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Installation Design Engineer.
• Electrical installation background, ideally with site-based experience.
• Demonstrable experience designing CMS / cable containment systems.
• Previous London Underground experience is essential, particularly on infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of installation methodologies and constructability.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and design documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed installation designs for CMS containment and associated electrical systems.
• Develop practical, buildable design solutions for the London Underground environment.
• Work closely with site teams, engineers, and other disciplines.
• Review drawings, existing designs, and site information to develop effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant London Underground standards and project requirements.
• Support the project through the design and installation phases.
