Job summary

Cosworth is seeking a CMM Operator to operate PC-DMIS and Zeiss CMMs and perform hard-gauging on engine components. The role involves proactive inspection scheduling and escalating issues to production and engineering as daily changes occur.

The ideal candidate has CMM operating experience, metrology background, GD&T understanding, and can read engineering drawings. Shift work includes alternating early and late shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CMMs (PC-DMIS/Zeiss)
• Experience handling measuring equipment
• Background in metrology preferred
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Understanding of GD&T principles
• Engineering apprenticeship desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver inspection for manufactured components as directed by engineering
• Support 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain flexibility to assist with workload
• Liaise with production and engineering to resolve non-conformances
• Consider health, safety, environmental and energy impacts
• Support Data Protection Act 2018 compliance
