Job summary

Cosworth Group Holdings Limited is seeking a CMM Operator to operate PC-DMIS and Zeiss CMMs and perform hard-gauging on engine components. The role requires proactive inspection scheduling, timely reporting of issues to production and engineering, and contribution to 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have manufacturing experience, GD&T knowledge, and be flexible to work alternating early and late shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CMMs (PC-DMIS and Zeiss) and performing hard-gauging.
• Manufacturing background with ability to work in a fast-changing inspection schedule.
• Proactive with strong problem solving and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings (desirable).
• Able to work alternating early and late shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the inspection for the various manufactured components in a timely manner, as set by engineering.
• Help towards the continuous improvement / 5S activity implemented in the department.
• Maintain a flexible approach to assist with workload as and when required.
• Liaise with production and engineering to resolve any non-conformances found when carrying out the CMM Inspection.
• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
• Support the Company's compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Job description

Job Description: As a CMM Operator at Cosworth, you will be required to operate multiple PC D-mis and Zeiss CMM's and carry out any Hard-Gauging requirements from the production line for multiple manufactured engine components. The operator will need to be proactive due to the frequency of inspection set by production and management changing daily. It is the job of the CMM Operator to ensure that the inspection is carried out in a timely manner, escalating any issues or concerns found to production and engineering.

The Role

• To deliver the inspection for the various manufactured components in a timely manner, as set by engineering.

The successful candidate will be:

The following experience would be desirable for this role

• CMM operating experience.
• Experience handling measuring equipment.
• Experience within a Metrology background.
• Understanding of engineering drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Apprenticeship within Engineering.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternating early and late shifts.

Early Shift

Monday to Thursday: 06:00 to 14:00
Friday: 06:00 to 13:00

Late Shift

Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00
Friday: 13:00 to 20:00
