Job summary

Perle Hotels is seeking a Cluster Head Housekeeper for our Portree hotels on the Isle of Skye. This is a full-time permanent role, 45 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, across The Bosville, Marmalade and Bracken Hide Hotels.

You will plan, organise and develop housekeeping operations to meet our high standards, ensuring all bedrooms and public areas are spotless and hygienic, while leading the team to deliver excellent guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Organise employee schedules, ensuring ongoing training and regular staff meetings.
• Ensure shifts are properly covered and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness in bedrooms and public areas.
• Manage stock levels (chemicals, consumables, linen) using par stocking.
• Ensure COSHH and chemical handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Foster positive employee relations through clear communication within the team.
• Coordinate with linen supplier to ensure appropriate counts and timely orders.
• Keep back-of-house areas tidy and stocked.
• Follow guest relations policies to achieve high guest satisfaction.

Our Bosville, Marmalade and Bracken Hide Hotels are hiring a Cluster Head Housekeeper to join their team in Portree, The Isle of Skye. This is a full-time permanent contract, and you will be working 45 hours a week, Monday through to Sunday.

As a Cluster Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and developing the overall operations of the housekeeping department in accordance with the company’s standards, ensuring all areas of the hotels are thoroughly kept clean and tidy as per all cleanliness and hygiene guidelines. You will pay close attention to detail and manage the housekeeping team efficiently to ensure staff satisfaction and optimum performance.

Prior experience with Stayntouch, Trustyou and RotaCloud systems is preferred, but not required.

The Bracken Hide Hotel, inPortree. The Bracken Hide is a new four-star wilderness hotel, which connects guests to the magic of the Island, the stunning land and seascapes and the nature that abounds. We are located on 52 acres to the west of Portree. Close enough to leave the car and walk into Portree.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organise employee schedules, ensure that employees receive ongoing training and hold staff meetings to keep employees updated on all procedures and policies.
• Ensure that all the shifts are properly covered, ensuring team member productivity and room cleanliness.
• Ensure bedrooms and public areas are maintained to the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure correct levels of stock, including chemicals, consumables and linen are kept at a correct level by using a par stocking process.
• Ensure that all procedures and policies concerning COSHH, and the use of chemicals and cleaning products are practised at all times.
• Encouraging a culture of positive employee relations by having effective and clear communication with all housekeeping team members.
• Work closely with the linen supplier (if applicable), ensuring counts and orders are placed in a timely manner. Ensure sufficient levels of linen are in line with the hotel’s occupancy, there should be no overstocked or understocked linen items.
• Keep all housekeeping back-of-house areas tidy and efficiently stocked.
• Follow the hotel’s guest relations policy, including politely addressing our guests at all times and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
