Job summary

Perle Hotels Limited is seeking a Cluster Head Housekeeper to join the team across The Bosville, Marmalade and Bracken Hide Hotels in Portree, Isle of Skye. This full-time role offers a 45-hour week with a salary of £33,000 per year and a permanent contract.

Based in the Portree hotels, you will supervise housekeeping across multiple properties, ensure high standards of cleanliness, and manage scheduling, training and stock control in a luxury Highland setting.

Responsibilities

• Organise employee schedules and ensure ongoing training; hold staff meetings to update procedures and policies.
• Ensure all shifts are covered, maintain team productivity and room cleanliness.
• Maintain bedrooms and public areas to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Manage stock levels for chemicals, consumables and linen using a par stocking process.
• Enforce COSHH and safe chemical handling procedures at all times.
• Foster positive staff relations through clear communication within housekeeping.
• Coordinate with linen supplier to ensure timely counts and orders; maintain appropriate linen levels.
• Keep back-of-house areas tidy and well-stocked.

Our Bosville, Marmalade and Bracken Hide Hotels are hiring a Cluster Head Housekeeper to join their team in Portree, The Isle of Skye. This is a full-time permanent contract, and you will be working 45 hours a week, Monday through to Sunday.

The Marmalade Hotel, in Portree. Set majestically in mature gardens, commanding views over the village of Portree, the loch and the Cuillin Mountains, you will find Marmalade, the perfect location to enjoy everything Skye has to offer. A beautiful juxtaposition of the historic Manor House and contemporary architecture, this 4-star hotel welcomes guests who appreciate design details and luxurious comfort.

The Bracken Hide Hotel, in Portree. The Bracken Hide is a new four-star wilderness hotel, which connects guests to the magic of the Island, the stunning land and seascapes and the nature that abounds. We are located on 52 acres to the west of Portree. Close enough to leave the car and walk into Portree.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Organise employee schedules, ensure that employees receive ongoing training and hold staff meetings to keep employees updated on all procedures and policies.
• Ensure that all the shifts are properly covered, ensuring team member productivity and room cleanliness.
• Ensure bedrooms and public areas are maintained to the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure correct levels of stock, including chemicals, consumables and linen are kept at a correct level by using a par stocking process.
• Ensure that all procedures and policies concerning COSHH, and the use of chemicals and cleaning products are practised at all times.
• Encouraging a culture of positive employee relations by having effective and clear communication with all housekeeping team members.
• Work closely with the linen supplier (if applicable), ensuring counts and orders are placed in a timely manner. Ensure sufficient levels of linen are in line with the hotel's occupancy, there should be no overstocked or understocked linen items.
• Keep all housekeeping back-of-house areas tidy and efficiently stocked.
• Follow the hotel's guest relations policy, including politely addressing our guests at all times and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
