Job summary

Lighthouse Hotel Management is seeking a Cluster Financial Controller to lead finance across the Northern Cluster, including Manchester and two Liverpool hotels. You will report to the Head of Finance Operations and collaborate with General Managers to enhance financial performance.

You will manage monthly planning, forecasting and month-end close, maintain balance sheets, and oversee on-site finance teams to ensure strong controls and efficient operations across the properties.

• Experience as a multi-site Financial Controller managing several hotels.
• Strong forecasting and planning capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead accounting teams and implement controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting processes across the Northern Cluster (Manchester and 2 Liverpool hotels).

Job description

We are recruiting for the position of Cluster Financial Controller to join the multi-talented Lighthouse Hotel Management team. The role will directly contribute to the ongoing success, growth and development of the group by influencing and improving financial performance and efficiency for each of the hotels within the Northern Cluster (Manchester and 2 Liverpool).

Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations you will be involved with monthly planning and forecasting, alongside the General Managers and hotel teams. You will perform the month-end process for each hotel ensuring deadlines are met. You will be responsible for the day-to-day efficient running of the hotels accounting and finance processes as well as overseeing the work of the on-site finance assistants. You will work with the hotel operational teams to ensure internal financial controls, processes and procedures are followed. You will maintain accurate balance sheets and other reconciliations, as necessary and will be an instrumental part of the Lighthouse Hotel Management Team. This role would suit an experienced multi-property Financial Controller looking to gain some brand experience or an established single site financial controller looking for their next career step and a move into a multi-property role.

Key Responsibilities

• Will be an experienced multi-site FC or an experienced single-site FC in a large hotel, with the ability to multitask and manage a team effectively
• Will have excellent communications skills and ability to train and manage the on-site teams
• Will have the ability to maintain accurate records

• Will have advanced level Excel skills
• Will have an aptitude for learning new systems
• Will be willing to travel to properties on a regular basis to support on-site teams

The hotels are managed by Lighthouse Hotel Management, which is the operational arm of the Molo Hotel Group. The group currently has nine trading hotels, seven situated in the UK and two in the Caribbean. A further two hotels are under construction and various other purchase transactions are underway. Molo Hotel Group plans to add many more hotels not just in the UK but in other key destinations in Europe and the world.
