Job summary

Lighthouse Hotel Management is recruiting for the position of Cluster Financial Controller to join the Northern Cluster (Manchester and 2 Liverpool hotels). The role reports to the Head of Finance Operations and oversees month-end processes, planning and forecasting for multiple hotels, ensuring strong financial controls and accurate balance sheets.

You will lead on-site finance teams, drive efficiency, and travel regularly to properties to support operations.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate: an experienced multi-site FC or an experienced single-site FC in a large hotel, with the ability to multitask and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communications skills and ability to train and manage the on-site teams.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Efforts to drive improvements and efficiencies.
• Planning and forecasting experience.
• Advanced level Excel skills.
• Aptitude for learning new systems.
• Willingness to travel to properties regularly to support on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly planning and forecasting for the hotels in the cluster.
• Manage month-end process for each hotel ensuring deadlines are met.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and on-site finance assistants.
• Maintain accurate balance sheets and reconciliations; ensure internal controls are followed.
• Collaborate with hotel operational teams to implement processes.

The Exciting Opportunity

We are recruiting for the position of Cluster Financial Controller to join the multi-talented Lighthouse Hotel Management team. The role will directly contribute to the ongoing success, growth and development of the group by influencing and improving financial performance and efficiency for each of the hotels within the Northern Cluster (Manchester and 2 * Liverpool).

Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations you will be involved with monthly planning and forecasting, alongside the General Managers and hotel teams. You will perform the month-end process for each hotel ensuring deadlines are met. You will be responsible for the day-to-day efficient running of the hotels accounting and finance processes as well as overseeing the work of the on-site finance assistants. You will work with the hotel operational teams to ensure internal financial controls, processes and procedures are followed. You will maintain accurate balance sheets and other reconciliations, as necessary and will be an instrumental part of the Lighthouse Hotel Management Team.

This role would suit an experienced multi-property Financial Controller looking to gain some brand experience or an established single site financial controller looking for their next career step and a move into a multi-property role.

Where Will You Be Working?

• The role will offer hybrid working including a mixture of home, hotel and office-based working. The group head office is based in Hillington, Glasgow and hotels within the cluster are UK based; Manchester and Liverpool.
• The hotels are managed by Lighthouse Hotel Management, which is the operational arm of the Molo Hotel Group. The group currently has nine trading hotels, seven situated in the UK and two in the Caribbean. A further two hotels are under construction and various other purchase transactions are underway. Molo Hotel Group plans to add many more hotels not just in the UK but in other key destinations in Europe and the world.
