HSBC Holdings plc is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen our cloud-based production environments in the UK. You will enhance stability, scalability and automation, maintaining high availability while contributing to CI/CD and Kubernetes GitOps practices.

You will deploy containerised applications, build automation tools, and collaborate with development, QA and operations teams. A proactive, on-call mindset and strong telemetry skills are essential for success.

Formación

• Hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps or production support.
• Practical knowledge of cloud environments (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Helm or Istio are a bonus.
• Familiarity with monitoring/telemetry tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jaeger, Datadog).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Tekton).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go or similar languages.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible; microservices and high-availability environments.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain production systems for high availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement SRE practices: monitoring, SLOs/SLIs, incident response.
• Deploy and manage containerised apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting languages.
• Collaborate with development, QA and operations teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in on-call support and incident reviews.
• Document procedures and configurations for post-incident learnings.
