Job summary

Motability Operations Ltd in London is offering a placement role in Cloud Platform Operations. You will support, maintain and improve scalable cloud platform infrastructure services and be accountable for its availability.

The role requires joining the London office at least three days a week, with hybrid working where you may work remotely up to two days. Ideal candidates are eager to learn cloud technologies, scripting (Java/Python), and have some command-line experience.

Qualifications

• Studying in the second year of your undergraduate degree that includes a year in industry, and eager to start a placement in July 2027.
• Excited to join us in our London office at least three days a week
• You have some experience using the command line and are interested in developing your skills further.
• You have an interest in scripting and some experience with Java or Python, whether through your studies, projects or personal learning.
• You’re interested in how software is developed and have some awareness of software development methodologies, such as Agile.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and improve highly scalable and reliable cloud platform infrastructure services.
• Be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the Cloud Platform and its availability.
• Work with Run and Build squads in an Agile environment to drive continuous improvement.
