Job summary

Referment, partnering with a quantitative investment firm, seeks an experienced Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer for an office role in London. You will design and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, build secure, scalable production platforms, and automate with Terraform/Ansible.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering.
• Strong Linux systems administration experience.
• Good knowledge of AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Solid networking fundamentals.
• Experience supporting production infrastructure.
• Python or other scripting experience.
• Practical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Can-do mentality, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Build secure, resilient, and scalable platforms for production workloads.
• Work on cloud networking, including routing, connectivity, DNS, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting.
• Drive improvements in monitoring, observability, and incident response.
• Own infrastructure lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, and resilience.
• Work with networking, security, and development teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and help shape the platform’s future technical direction.
