Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a NOC Engineer for UK-based remote work, with 24/7 rotating shifts across days and nights, to keep AWS production environments up and performing.

You'll automate operations with Terraform and Docker, enhance monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or CloudWatch, and collaborate with software, platform and security teams to improve reliability.

This role focuses on proactive resilience and end-to-end service improvements in a large-scale cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Background in production engineering or cloud operations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Linux and containerised work.
• Automation mindset and incident handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor AWS production environments and keep them up and performing.
• Own live incidents and manage through to resolution.
• Investigate problems and restore services quickly.
• Write automation to remove repetitive manual work.
• Improve monitoring and observability tooling.
• Collaborate with software, platform, cloud and security teams to boost reliability.
• Participate in incident retrospectives and drive improvements.
• Manage containerised apps with Terraform and Docker.
