Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain technical relationships with customers, providing proactive service and acting as a liaison between engineering and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:
  • Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Support Professional Services and Sales within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts.
  • Identify trends, security threats, and technical bulletins affecting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow processes for task allocation, reporting, and change management.
  • Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
  • Peer review engineering documentation.
  • Pre-stage equipment for customer sites.
  • Participate in customer meetings and support reviews.
  • Accurately submit timesheets and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and security policies.
Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure cloud knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your skill development. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in medium to large support environments, with on-premise Cloud Services experience.

  • VCP 6.x-DCV (Desirable)
  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
  • Networking Concepts knowledge
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above
  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and above
  • VMware vCloud Director knowledge
  • Leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
