Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development as a Cloud Engineer through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with both internal and external customers, providing proactive service across all aspects of service delivery. They will act as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk within Telent to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:

• Train internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
• Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
• Monitor customer incidents and report as necessary on nominated accounts.
• Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
• Maintain documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services (TCS).
• Follow internal and external processes regarding task allocation, completion, reporting, and change management, updating all relevant documentation.
• Assist with Proof of Concept (PoC) scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
• Create TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation.
• Conduct peer reviews of engineering documentation.
• Lead or assist in pre-staging equipment for customer site installations.
• Participate in customer meetings such as support reviews, project roadmaps, and incident reviews.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets and expenses.
• Link certifications or training to business objectives and role requirements.
• Adhere to GDPR and security policies, reporting incidents accordingly.

Cloud Engineer - Requirements:

• Interest in Cloud technologies, with some Azure experience, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange knowledge—training provided.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and experience in medium to large support environments (IT Managed Service).
• Experience with On-premise Cloud Services.
• Desirable certifications include VCP 6.x-DCV, MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016+, LPIC-2 (Linux), VMware vCloud Director.
• Knowledge of Networking, SQL Server clustering, Azure MFA, Microsoft System Configuration Manager, and Exchange Server.
• Leadership ability, ownership, and collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
