Harbour Healthcare in Plymouth is seeking an experienced RGN Unit Manager to lead a clinical team in a residential care setting. The role requires current NMC PIN, hands-on nursing leadership, and responsibility for care planning, medication administration, and resident welfare.

You will supervise junior staff, coordinate with families and external professionals, and participate in mandatory training. The position offers full-time hours with competitive hourly pay and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Must hold current NMC registration and be in good standing.
• Experience in mental health or elderly care settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train junior staff.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Assess all aspects of client's care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required.
• Assess social and health care needs of new clients and maintain ongoing assessment and review of other clients.
• Ensure client care plans are completed and maintained with clients, relatives and health professionals per NMC guidelines.
• Administer prescribed medicines and document as per policy and NMC guidelines.
• Maintain integrity in dealings with clients' personal and financial affairs; protect confidentiality.
• Supervise and train junior staff and new team members in care home practices.
• Attend mandatory training days/courses on or off site as required.
• Establish good communication with clients, relatives and multidisciplinary team; provide administrative support.

Your Main responsibilities for being a Nurse are:

• Assess all aspects of client's care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required.
• Assess social and health care needs of new clients and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Clients.
• Ensure that Client care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with Clients, Relatives and other Health Care Professionals, and in accordance with NMC guidelines and company policy.
• Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the company's procedure and NMC guidelines.
• Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Clients personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship which exists clients.
• Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, giving help and guidance where appropriate.
• Attend mandatory training days/courses on or off site when required.
• Establish and maintain good communication with clients, relatives and with the multidisciplinary team. Provide administrative support when required.
