About the Role:

Based in our Clinical Trials Unit on the Chelmsford Campus, as a Clinical Trials Data Manager, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of data across a portfolio of research studies. You will play a key role in managing data from study setup through to final analysis and dissemination, ensuring compliance with research governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee data management processes, including database design, validation, and maintenance, as well as monitoring data quality and resolving discrepancies. Working closely with trial teams and investigator sites, you'll ensure timely and reliable data collection in accordance with trial protocols, SOPs, and ethical guidelines. This may include occasional travel to trial sites to support data-related activities.

With a degree and relevant experience, you'll bring demonstrable expertise in clinical trial data management or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK clinical trial regulations, data protection requirements, and experience working on both investigator-led and commercial studies. Familiarity with electronic data capture systems and data cleaning processes is essential.
