Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is excited to be recruiting a Clinical Team Manager to lead our Urgent Care Pathway in North Devon.
Our Urgent Care Pathway offers rapid mental health support to children and young people experiencing acute emotional distress and crisis. The team works closely with young people, families, schools, social care and acute services to provide timely assessment and intervention, reduce risk, and help children remain safely in their communities. As Team Manager, you will play a key role in delivering and developing this responsive, trauma-informed service.
You will lead a skilled multi-disciplinary team, including mental health practitioners, clinicians and support staff, providing operational management, clinical leadership, and compassionate supervision. You will also be a part of the locality leadership team, working collaboratively to shape care and improve outcomes for children across the wider system.
Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Urgent Care team
Manage team capacity, performance, and high-quality, safe clinical delivery
Support and supervise staff, ensuring effective care planning, risk management and evidence-based practice
Liaise with mental health teams, education, social care, and paediatrics to coordinate crisis and step-up/step-down pathways
Contribute to service improvement, data monitoring, and quality assurance
Act as a clinical role model and lead by example, supporting co-production and inclusive care

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon.
CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health which are provided by Torbay and South Devon Foundation Trust and Devon Partnership Trust. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework.
CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
