Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a motivated Health Care Support Worker to join Savernake Ward and provide essential patient care. You will support families and work within a multidisciplinary inpatient team to deliver compassionate care.

This role offers opportunities to develop skills in patient observations, ECGs and phlebotomy, with flexible shifts and a focus on rehabilitation and independence for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of Essential Care to meet patient needs in the ward.
• Support and comfort to family, friends and carers.

• Promote rehabilitation and help patients regain independence.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary team in inpatient settings.

Job Introduction The Health Care Support Worker is an essential member of the multi-disciplinary team providing high standard of care for patients as well as support and comfort to family members, friends and carers. In addition to Essential Care and Support there will be the opportunity to develop additional skills, including the monitoring and recording of Patient Observations, ECGs and Phlebotomy. Savernake Ward provides 24 hour care, 7 days a week to our patients so the ideal candidate will be able to work a variety of shifts. We are open to conversations around flexible working patterns., To work within a multi-professional team in an Inpatient setting, providing, support, care, and treatment to individuals, within guidelines and protocols identified for the role. You will be expected to provide a high level of Essential Care to meet the needs of patients in the Ward. This will include helping to maintain personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition and hydration. As well as supporting recovery you will promote rehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain as much independence as possible.
