The Ophthalmology Department cares for patients of all ages attending a wide range of ophthalmic clinics. We have Doctor/Nurse led clinics on all sites.
Within this post, you will work in general Ophthalmology clinics and more specialised ophthalmic clinics, preoperative assessment, and support the organisation and running of theatre lists on a day-to-day basis.
You will undergo in-house training specialising in Ophthalmic Nursing care and will be expected to complete the ophthalmic competencies required to work in the department.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises.
