Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Merseycare Immunisation team. You will play a vital role in promoting and safely delivering our school-based vaccination programme.

Our ideal candidate has experience working with school-aged children and in a customer-facing environment. You will be required to support other immunisation teams across the Merseycare footprint as needed.

In this role, with appropriate training and support, you will deliver nasal vaccines to children and support vaccination uptake. You will also engage in events to increase awareness and uptake of vaccines.

You will assist with the storage, transportation, and delivery of vaccines and equipment, including collecting and returning vaccines to storage areas and ensuring the disposal of used clinical equipment.

You must adhere to strict data and patient confidentiality protocols.

The post involves working as part of the immunisation team to promote immunisation as a key factor in maintaining the health and well-being of children and young people. Service delivery will mainly take place in schools, with opportunities to work in homes and clinics following training and assessment.

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate data entry and interpretation, assisting in data cleansing, and supporting targeted efforts to improve vaccine uptake. You will also manage resources such as equipment and stock, and provide clinical administrative support at various locations to ensure smooth service delivery, aligning with the quality strategy.
