An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Merseycare Immunisation team. You will play a vital role in the promotion and safe delivery of our school based vaccination programme.
Our ideal candidate has/is currently working with school age children as well as a customer facing environment and will be required to support other immunisations teams across the Merseycare footprint as and when required.
In this role you will be able to with the appropriate training and support deliver the nasal vaccine to children and support vaccination uptake across.
You will support engagement events to increase vaccine uptake and raise awareness of vaccinations.
You will also support with the storage, transportation and delivery of vaccines and equipment's e.g. collect and return vaccines to storage areas. and ensure disposal of used clinical equipment.
You will ensure you adhere to strict data and patient record confidentiality.
The post holder will work as part of the immunisation team to promote immunisation as a key factor for maintaining the health and well-being of children and young people within a defined population. Service delivery will largely take place in schools however, following appropriate training and assessment, there will be an opportunity to work in individual homes, clinics. The post holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring the clinical input of data and demonstrate an ability to interpret the figures. They will assist in the cleansing of data to assist the immunisation team in the organisation and implementation of targeted offers to improve vaccine uptake figures. The post holder will undertake duties that ensure the smooth running which underpin the service delivery from the Immunisation Team. This includes the organisation and management of resources (equipment, and stock) and providing appropriate clinical administrative support in base and at other locations as service needs dictates. Ensuring the delivery of the quality strategy within the designated area incorporating establishment of systems and processes.
