NHS Jobs is seeking a compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join the Gynaecology Outpatients team at St James's University Hospital on a part-time basis. The role covers Gynaecology Outpatients, Urogynaecology and Women's Physiotherapy, with some inpatient ward support as required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Clinical Support Worker (CSW) to join our team on a part-time basis, providing flexible cover predominantly Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend working as required. You will work across Gynaecology Outpatients, Urogynaecology and Womens Physiotherapy, supporting the smooth running of clinics and contributing to a safe, positive and compassionate patient experience. There will also be opportunity to support the inpatient ward as required. This is a varied role where you will develop your clinical skills and work closely with nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include welcoming and supporting patients, preparing clinical rooms, undertaking observations and basic diagnostic tests, supporting phlebotomy and swabbing where trained, maintaining equipment and stock, assisting with patient records and clinic preparation, and escalating any concerns about a patient's condition to the appropriate clinician. You will also play an important role as a chaperone during intimate examinations and procedures, helping to protect privacy, dignity and safety.
