Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust in Kendal is seeking a Clinical Support Worker to join the Day Surgery Unit. In this Band 3 role you will support pre- and post-operative patients across multiple specialties, working alongside nurses and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to undertake NVQ levels 2 and 3 in care.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a busy day surgery unit.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Trust Appraisal and Personal Development.
• Identify development needs with a clinical supervisor and create development plans.
• Report untoward incidents and respond to patient or relative complaints.
• Ensure clinical practice is safe and appropriate.
• Assist RNs in benchmarking clinical standards.
• Keep mandatory training up to date.
• Support equality, diversity, rights and quality.
• Contribute to development of healthcare standards and service development.
