Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in Carlisle invites applications for a Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) to join the Heart Centre team. You will support the registered nursing staff with fundamentals of care for elective and inpatient patients, in a friendly, multidisciplinary environment.

The role is 37.5 hours, day shifts only, with a focus on maintaining patient dignity, learning through the Care Certificate, and contributing to a safe, high‑quality service within the NHS.

Qualifications

• Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent in patient and clinical care duties.
• Theoretical knowledge and experience of clinical care duties.
• Knowledge of data protection and health and safety at work.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nursing team in providing fundamental patient care.
• Undertake clinical activities when trained and competent, using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity and provide compassionate care.
• Contribute to the work of the department under supervision and within established policies.
